MERP/RM game
« on: June 06, 2017, 04:03:11 AM »
    Hi fellows,

We have a high fantasy PbP game playing MERP and AD&D modules since 2012 called Ethacali's Tale. Currently we're short on fighters and mages.

A summary of the present adventure:
The name of the ring is Rörkor and was made by the Lord of the Rings in SA c. 1600, when Sauron forged the One Ring in Orodruin, Mount Doom,  and given to his follower the vampire Blogath. But when these rings were used Celebrimbor perceived the designs of Sauron and hid the Rings of Power made before by the Elven smiths, some in conjunction with Annatar, some not.
The ring Rörkor had artificial intelligence and an independent spell casting ability like the One Ring; and was thoroughly evil. When used it tripled the level of the user to a maximum of 100, and has other magic powers. When the Elves were in war with the Lord of the Rings in their land of Eregion, SA 1697, an Elven lord of Elrond's household captured it; but it was lost further in the fighting around Rivendell. It passed away from the knowledge of the Elves since then.
The Blue staff is of the essence realm and served as a key to a mould; the lock only accepts the original key.

   Hi fellows,

We've got a new player, a Bard! From advice of the Craftswoman, we could use two more arms users and a mage. You come up with a character concept and the skills you'd like developed and I make you the character sheet. I also take care of the rolls.

We post once a day or every other day. You need a good understanding of the RM skills which you can pick as we play and that's it. We’ve got a Half-Elf Craftswoman; an Er-Harad Cleric; an urban man Thief with a 3 men gang; and a half-Ef Bard. Think 14th century Europe with a Tolkien ambience.

Cheers,
António
