I think I am (perhaps ironically, since I am mainly a writer) a very visual person, and before going much further than outlining the text and pulling the old source material from the original 'Emer' book, I had to get a map set up and mark all the known locations. Then all the ideas for filling in the gaps begin. And Kaitaine is going to need a whole new big city map of course.

what I want?

In Xa-ar, there is that sort of plot-point-campaign. I wish, I could get more of these open-source, free-to-enhace and easy to gming campaigns in every sourcebook. I am completely flashed (as we say in germany) ;)

Interesting... though this does help explain the continuing enthusiasm for the long-dead 'Grand Campaign.' To be honest, I had not planned to create all those adventures in Xa-ar, (and indeed the 'Ice and Fire' campaign), but it just sort of happened. I don't normally write a lot of adventures. BUT, if that is what Shadow World fans would like to see, who am I to say no?

My only (and on going) experience with SW is Xa-ar. I love all the adventures and hope Emer III has the same amount. Between a job, familiy and other real life annoyances there's simply not room for me sitting down and making up too much stuff on my own.

The last campaign we played was The Palantir Quest, which is very linear, and that was a big hit among the players.

Most comments I read from various people would love to have game aids (maps, adventures, etc) do to their busy schedules.

Oh no, giant spiders attack the Kaitaine map! But here comes Andraax with his power sword! Can he defeat them? (and have I regressed to a 10 yo boy?) -- TKA

I like background information: cultures, organisations, families, intrigue and hidden agendas. I like maps and layouts for adventure locations but I don't need fully written adventure plots.

Doing NPC stats for Cloudlords, c. 6056 TEI. (and adding skills for the original 2500 NPCs; somehow they never got skills!) If I keep humming 'My Favorite Things' will it get better?

Yes. Just keep telling yourself it will get better. It will get better.

For those of you who might be interested, I uploaded another chapter of a Space Master novella I wrote long ago, that I needed to edit even to post it online. Another chapter is about ready. It is based on the original ICE Space Master setting, and related to Shadow World...

Outlining Emer IV now. Yes, this one won't take nearly as long as the last one, I promise.

NB, I also post on the SW FaceBook Page, and sometimes at my site. Where would you most like to hear about informal SW updates from me, and how often?

eidolonstudio.com

This implies Emer III is done?  Where can one get it?

Please finish the Emer quarter before moving elsewhere.

Emer III is written. It has not had editing or artwork or layout yet.

"Blood-drops on kynacs and whiskers on Cloudlords,
bright golden helmets and dank secret wraith-hoards,
Secret societies and horses with wings,
these are a few of my favorite things.

A girl in black leather with black knife that slashes,
snowflakes that stay on my sword and foe's ashes,
silver white winters that melt into springs,
these are a few of my favorite things.

When the skills bore, and NPC pain brings,
when I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
and then I don't feel so bad."

I think I'm becoming delusional...

My Favorite Mods

Terry K. Amthor with whiskers and cardie,
Nicholas Caldwell at tupperware parties,
markc delightfully nailing up clods:
These are a few of my favorite mods.

Colin of ICE varnishing streudels,
Marc R extinguishing mozzies on poodles,
Defendi delighting in mocking the gods:
These are a few of my favorite mods.

When the spam rears
From the weird shonks
When I'm needing beers
I simply remember my favorite mods
And then I don't feel so weird!

Thanks Terry. I was reading through that story again just the other day and thinking it would be nice if you got around to cleaning up more of it. Hopefully you were reviewing Patrick's history to prepare for putting the final touches on the upcoming Shadowstone Chronicle release. Or maybe you get good stats from your web host and saw someone had been poking around? In either case, it's just what I needed to feed my addiction for Shadow World content until Emer III and the Shadowstone novel are ready.

Lots of Shadowstone (should I call it 'Loremaster Legacy' now, as the first novel?) editing overnight, and now back to Cloudlords edits/additions/cleanup. Still some strange nagging OCR errors that spell check does not catch.
