HARP SF Xtreme released; beta coupons sent.
« on: October 28, 2011, 10:13:53 AM »
With great pleasure, I can announce that HARP SF Xtreme is now released:
see http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?cPath=&products_id=96082

I've sent the necessary OBS complimentary copy links to all the beta purchasers for whom we have working email addresses.

I'd appreciate a heads up on any problems with the coupons so that I can resolve any issues. Likewise if you don't receive an email from me and you are expecting one, also get in touch.

Best wishes,
Nicholas

Been skimming through it. Niceness!

Although I wonder at one thing… the art in the beginning of the book is mostly computer graphics and 3D-models, which is cool! But then suddenly its all back to the more conventional HARP-hand drawn pictures, more or less skilfully done. This change in art changes the tone and impression of the book. Contentwise it doesn't change anything of course, and I like what I read, very much!

I've been away from HARP for a while, testing out a new system (BRP) which is entertaining and rewarding, the system has its endearing characteristics… yet I more and more get the feel for returning to HARP, perhaps mainly since I'm playing in my own setting which was created using HARP…

Now HARP SF gives me the opportunity to play a semi-proper hard sf game (Spacemaster is too much of a hassle for my players it seems). I like it!

Great book! I'm digging the color art! :)

HARP SF Xtreme is a very topic-driven book, so when I produced the suggested art list, each of the artists gravitated to their particular areas of expertise and employed the techniques that they preferred. Thus the art is Joel for vehicles and vehicle combats, Rick in Cyberware and the start of the AI/Robots chapter and Maria for the Robots proper.

Best wishes,
Nicholas

Wow.  Lionel Ritchie decides to release a country album, New England gets 27 inches of snow in October, and HARP SFX is released at the same time.  This has to be the beginning of the Apocalypse! :D

I love the coloured art, was really missing it in HARP SF.

From layout the best book you published is still SW Player Guide.
