Rhona - Land of the Dawn
« on: January 12, 2011, 12:30:53 PM »
Wouw,

this forum looks dead... Last activity in spring 2010... that's really sad to see. The wiki, too, has not sparked any interest. What a shame.

I'll ask anyway, maybe there is someone out there. :)
For the Rhona, the Cyradon book mentions they live in the Land of the Dawn (p. 79). Unfortunately, this is the only time this is mentioned. I assume it's a region in the east of Cyradon, possibly south of the Ischea Forest or maybe south of Janiael.

I guess I'll just improvise it.
Boy, this forum feels so spooky...

I assume that this is another name for Aneirin (p. 59). As this is the land the Rhona share with the Danae.

Ah,

thanks WoeRie, this slipped my attention. Great! My group activated a portal that showed a Rhona next to it, so I wanted it to lead to some capital-like town. This fits exactly, and the Danae being there too gives me some ideas for adventures.

Thanks again,

Jan

I liked the setting, but I haven't done much with it in awhile.

Ah... my old fellows WoeRie and SamwiseSeven :) nice to see you both around!
I didn't play for a couple of months, but right now my group is meeting more regularly again and it's a lot of fun again. The quest for the Tear of Light is playing out nicely and we've estabilshed a nice set of NPCs who flesh the world out.

So I would say definitively south of Cyradon for most of the Rhona.  ;D

I'm sure I will return to the setting again.  I liked the lack of Humans in the setting (as I sometimes go on a humanocentric rant in other settings, hehe).
