They just came in today and they look great! I can't wait to delve deeper, though I already know I love the fact that you have both images and deck plans for some ships; those really come in handy.

Slowly moving out of a dark place again. So much to do, it is a little overwhelming. Several projects on the front burner, not to mention revisions on the back burner.

As part of my mental vacation, I bout a fish tank, 20 gal, and just added some real and fake plants. In a couple days I'll transfer my fish, Han Betta, to the big tank from his bowl. Wish him luck!

Nice tank. Fake plants are good for a start, but real ones work better in the long run.

I know nothing about fish tanks and such but surely real plants work better than fake plant all the time and in pretty much every situation?

I cannot think of a situation where I would rather have a fake item over a real one. Parachutes, aqualungs, rations, orgasms; nope real ones seem better to me all round.

Having had aquariums in the past I seem to remember something about real vs plastic plants and the malady of "Ick".  I cannot remember if I was told real caused it or prevented it.  And yes, Ick is the actual name for the problem.  And, of course, what I heard could be an old wives tale.

I can well imagine there is plenty of ick at the bottom of a fish tank.

Heh, well thanks for all your comments, but after a sleepless night of worrying about a 20-gallon tank springing a leak in my home office (not to mention that I live on a second-floor condo), I abandoned the project and drained the tank. Now it's going to be a terrarium or maybe a home for a small rodent.  :-[

We had gerbils, hamsters and rats in the past and, unless you are a pretty heavy sleeper, I found their nocturnal life cycle disturbing.

Well the tank is in my office, which is far from my bedroom. I seem to remember having gerbils (2 females) once a long time ago, and they were reasonably clean little critters. I can't see myself getting another ferret; they get into everything unless you keep them in a pen, and that's not very fair to them.
