RMC/RM2 / Re: Combat with creatures that act as a group

Attacking the swarms was easier for us to resolve.  Attacked by rats with 10HP each... Player makes an attack roll, the result is 23 hits plus a crit.  Two rats at 10 hits each are eliminated.  1 rats takes the remaining 3 hits and the results of the crit.  If that crit yields additional hits that exceeds the remaining 7 hits of the injured rat, the excess carries into another hapless rodent possibly killing it.

For simplicity and expedience, if any attack yields 50%+ hit damage but no crit, those creatures flee.

RMSS/FRP / Re: Stun Removal at -50?
« Last post by Micael on March 31, 2024, 06:33:55 PM »
I would assume, that you need stunned maneuvring to decrease the -50 bonus to 0- otherwise it's to easy in my opinion to ignore stunning. In FRPG it's easy to get +50 in low levels especially with talent boni. Then a medium level char is effectively immune to stunning with this skill alone...the malus from stun removal is for more the one round of stun and is much less then -50. If you ignore the -50 you in fact make stun manoeuvring skill obsolete.

How often do characters in your TTRPGs come back from the dead? Should dead characters stay dead in your opinion & why?

Brand-new episode out today of our Rolemaster Actual Play: Twilight (E132) & Hero (E109) “Carry on Karios?"

Thanks! Lots of interesting ideas.

For what it's worth, my copy of the core MERP book doesn't list Akbutege at all. However, it does list Draaf with the same sO2 code and heal 1-10 effect that Akbutege gets in RM and SW.

And as a side note, if you happen to have duplicate listings for Arlan (one with code cM2 and the other with tT2), the cM2 listing should be changed to "Arthond" per Iron Crown Quarterly issue 3.

ICE News and Discussion / Re: Locating "Lost" Authors to Bring Back "Lost" Books

Just posting to confirm that I am the Dan Crosby from Arms Companion (author, not an artist). I *might* be able to track down Chris Dumit as well, if needed.

Thanks for showing up here.  :)

The name is a bit funny. For my online part, I use ObsidianPortal, which also uses Markdown, but I don't think has anything to do with Obsidian.
Yeah I know about ObsidianPortal and I understand the similar name can be a little confusing which is why I added the .md part at the end.
I tried ObsidianPortal a while back and found it wasn't to my liking.

ICE News and Discussion / Re: Found a discrepancy on herbs, need clarification.
« Last post by Bruce on March 29, 2024, 04:34:44 PM »
The information I found in both Character Law and the Shadow World Master Atlas indicates that Akbutege should be sO2. The herbs for concussion relief with codes around at least cH6 might be Cusamar (Character Law) or Anneke (SWMA), but they heal more than Akbutege due to the greater difficulty.
Thanks! I haven't had the time to go through the books to find it myself but was wondering about the differences.

Is there a thread that talks about Folkways?  I'm thinking of getting Folkways.  Maybe at the end of the next month, yes.
