Shouldn't Stoop be Swoop? Stoop is a nod or part of a house ...

#5? lol. Why not the more intuitive Swoop ... Which is the synonym ...

For those interested -->
1.  to bend the head and shoulders, or the body generally, forward and downward from an erect position: to stoop over a desk.
2. to carry the head and shoulders habitually bowed forward: to stoop from age.
3. (of trees, precipices, etc.) to bend, bow, or lean.
4. to descend from one's level of dignity; condescend; deign: Don't stoop to argue with him.
5. to swoop down, as a hawk at prey.
6. to submit; yield.
7. Obsolete . to come down from a height.

The original author chose Stoop... it has been questioned before and his response was:

Quote
Stoop is a type of dive.

Refer to item #3 on the list on this page http://www.seaworld.org/animal-info/info-books/raptors/adaptations.htm for an example.

The attack is truly a stoop.

 I do not know the author but I do know that there are a lot of smart scientific people on these boards and they tend to write in scientific terms. So if I was to guess I would guess the author was a Zoologist or a hawk officanaldo (sp?) and was just writing the info as they were taught it.

But even my smart scientific players were baffled ... Anyhoo just an observation from a common man.

How many stoops could a Gryphon conquer, if a Gryphon could stoop to conquer stoops ...
