I just started reading Jack Vance's Lyonesse trilogy again, and I thought what a shame no-one ever made an RPG based on it. I know there's a Dying Earth one.

It is a fantastic trilogy. I believe there was a French language rpg.

Well, that explains why my search to see if there was a nicer map of the Elder Isles brought up something in French.

I have not read those books but on a clear day, from the top of one of the local hills near where I live, I can see where the Seven Stones are (the reputed historical capital of Lyonesse).

The books are rather different to the legends I think; Lyonesse is but one kingdom on the Elder Isles - which look as big as Ireland.

I have never read the Lyonesse books.  Are they worth trying to pick up?
