Topic: Necromancer attack spell bonus

The description of the Necromancer states that they get +10 to all attack spells.

What constitutes an attack spell in this case?

Anything that gets a Base Attack Roll.
Or BAR roll when determining Resistance roll modifiers.

An attack spell is any spell that has the Spell Type: Attack. All other spells are Utility spells.

There is the Elemental spell type also. I'll go with only those with Spell Type: Attack get the bonus.

OK, I missed that, and find that it's primarily used for Elemental Attack Spells. Which makes sense, adding an elemental critical to your weapon isn't the spell doing the attacking.

I agree with your ruling, necromancers tend not to be on the "flashy spells" side. Well, most of the time.

The Attack bonus applies only to Attack spells.
It does not apply to Elemental or Utility.
