« on: March 02, 2014, 04:47:12 PM »
Is there any other source of information on wilderness survival (hypothermia,starvation,dehydration,shelter finding,etc.) apart from the already existing rules contained in Gamemaster Law,Standard Rulesbook and School of Hard Knocks?? Any other ideas from House Rules?

I have links to two books for you;

http://www.amazon.com/Fieldbook-Boy-Scouts-America/dp/0839531044/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1272851626&sr=1-1

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

There are also some military handbooks that have been published to the public domain.  I forget where to find them, but if you google:

Military Survival Handbooks

you may find them.  The military survival handbooks make the ones by the boy scouts look like something armchair grandmothers would write.  Although the boy scout books are quite good, the military ones are much better.

Trust me.  I was put through some military survival schools after having to study them.

Here are some links I found:
