F&I: elementalist and Spell Mastery
« on: November 30, 2007, 09:25:53 AM »
Why the Elementalist from F&I doesn't have Spell Mastery as an Everyman skill, while all other pure Essence spell users have it? Spell Mastery is listed as an Everyman skill for the Magician, the Illusionist, the Mana Molder, and even for some Hybrid, like the Mystic, Sorcerer and the Enchanter. The only other pure Essence spell user that doesn't have SM as Everyman is the Alchemist (but he gets Magic Ritual and a lot of Occupational skills).
Is this for balance reason or it's an errata?
I suppose a magician might, he admitted, but a gentleman never could.

I honestly don't remember why we decided that.  I would guess it was a game balance thing, as spell-masteried high elemental spells could be quite powerful.

Not to mention the fact that elementalists already have a boon in being able to easily acquire other elemental base lists at low costs.

Oh, so it's a balance thing. More than enough for me! :)
Thanks!
