I have got a few reviews out there, although not on RPGNow, but on places where I can use a referral link. I plan to do a new one for Emer III and Player's Guide including the PoD, as well as one for Cloudlords, but that will be after I get the PDF.

I've just come across a PDF of Emer I on the internet, which probably shouldn't be there. Who should I report the URL to?

Shush yourself! ;)  Though seriously, I did a casual search and only found one, but I'm not an expert on those pirate sites. If anyone else finds such, please report them to ICE; they are stealing.

Meanwhile, all the more reason to make the new editions better quality and full of additional content. I've been working on the Eidolon adventures this morning!

Working dutifully on the Gryphonburgh town layout. Argh, I had originally planned this as a little village, but things grew, and now it is a pretty big town. Illos are trickling in; I'd love to get this out in September.

Hi Terry,

this is a small note and maybe I am just remembering it from another thread. Could you include some sort of color coding for the houses in town? It makes mastering that much easier if you can quickly see what kind of locations are located on a given street by the color of their roof tops.

Talking about "Lands of the Silver Mist". You once posted a little item for use in adventures. Here is a little something in return that I planted in the Silver Mine to mess with serious investigators.

(We use print outs of items in adventures. They work both as inventory and reference to item abilities. The person who takes the treasure usually expects something worthwhile and anybody who first reads the item description is considered getting an advantage on loot!)

Hi, I am trying a bit of a compromise on the Gryphonburgh town, where I am making the roofs more to indicate the type of building construction (so the map does not look so gaudy) and using letter designations to define a selection of various shops, leaving some for the GM to decide as they choose.

Map is done! I drank lots of java (and you could tell; it needed a lot of cleanup in PhotoShop, oops). Anyway, edits done, map done and labelled; now just finishing the cover and awaiting illos; hope to get Tales From the Green Gryphon out soon!

Terry,
Can you provide a sample of what you have done for the buildings for people to see?

Terry, what formats is Green Gryphon going to available in? PDF and POD softcover, I assume, but is there a possibility of a hardcover? Also, will there be detached maps for players to use?

It's been so quiet here at Shadow World central in the Forums; what has everyone been up to?

I've been bouncing around, a bit stuck on a final adventure on Gryphonburgh, and distracted a bit with some other issues. However, today I was inspired to work on the all-new Wuliris module, and already knocked out almost 2000 words this morning!  ;D  Meanwhile hope to get a new draft of Gryphon to the editor this weekend.

And just out of curiosity, do you all enjoy these little updates (which is pretty much a mini-blog, I guess?), and is there info you would prefer to hear about?

GG will be available in POD, but I think only softcover, as there is a minimum page requirement for Hardcover that I don't think GG, at 82 pages, will meet. Detachable/perforated maps are not an option that I know of with POD technology, but I could do a separate PDF "GM Handouts" like I did with Xa-ar, that would come with a purchase of the PDF or POD, that would include maps you could print.

I really like this openness. Compared to other subforums  this just shines.   Monthly directors briefing are something but this forum is in another league.

Definitely love the updates and random musings. It's very cool, as fans and customers, to be kept in the loop and aware of what is going in your mind at any given time you choose to share your thoughts.  :)

Having said that, I remember asking you back in February about a revision of Haalkitaine and you mentioned that the original was in very good shape and needed very few changes, just some new art, tweaked layouts, and some adventures. Any word on where this revision stands seven months later? I ask because a copy of the original has popped up for sale somewhere but the asking price is a bit scary and I'd rather purchase a new edition. However, if one is not forthcoming, I'd settle for the original.

Hmm. Well it is in relatively good shape, and I have done a revised rough layout and added some new material already. But all those things you mention in that list add up to quite a lot. I had hoped to do an actual layout of the sewers and catacombs (which people were unhappy did not appear in the first edition), and adventures take me some time. Plus, new illos and the RMSS stats need to be done. I would place it behind Eidolon and probably Emer II on my list, so honestly, it would be a few months…

I managed to pick up a wrapped, brand new version of Haalkitaine a few years back for about £10 or so from a local shop. Seeing what it's selling for now unwrapped. I kind of wish I'd left it sealed (or bought the other two copies). Especially as the spiral binding seems to wear out faster.

Well, remember that those spiral bound books were run on a laser printer by me back in the 90's (Haalkitaine was in 1998, 16 years ago.) And sometimes the shrink-wrap could actually damage it if exposed to heat and sunlight.

So, I better get to work on that new edition. *crack*

Oh, and about Loremaster Legacy (remember the novel?), there was some interest in a PoD hardcopy. I have it mostly done, if there is still interest; in any case I have formatted it in InDesign, which should make for a better layout. And the next book has a bit of a different flavor, with groups splitting off across Jaiman...
