Great site for Play-By-Post Roleplaying
« on: January 28, 2009, 02:00:53 AM »
I am quite new here but let me tell you something about me:
I have been playing MERP, Rolemaster, HARP since about 1988 and I am an avid roleplayer and RM fan. In the last years I have not had the opportunity to play as often as I liked and I have turned to online roleplaying. I have found a great site, Brennor's RPG Corner where I an playing in several games and I am gamemastering a HARP game set in Middle Earth. It is full though, but if I find enough players I might consider setting up another one using HARP, or RM.

On the site there are loads of friendly people and lots of different games D20, WoD, L5R, and lots more being run. It is a great place and I invite you to check it out and see for yourself.

Best wishes

Welcome friend!

I have been looking into the P-by-P games, but as I do not currently have internet at home, I would have to go someplace with free wi-fi to play and that is not very appealing to me. But, when I do get back up and running, I will be looking into playing with more "connected" systems like Ovoo (did I spell that right?) so that you can also see the people and interact more naturally. It would take a serious increase in technology for me to consider internet gaming over face-to-face gaming, as for me it is truly a social affair. But when there is nothing else......necessity....mother.....invent......oh, you get it!

Oh I see that. For me it is that I have moved and to play with my old chums is only possible say every two months. This is a great social affair and I enjoy it massively.

Yet I now also enjoy this PbP rpg because I can still my need and I can play in say 5-6 games in different systems at the same time. That's really cool. On Brennor's, the usual rule is you have to post every three days so technically that should not be a problem for most people. Do have a look.

of course you could always try rpgrm.com, it covers all the non d20 games, and is populated by many people from this site....you might like it as well, after all no need for exclusivity when playing, just a desire to have fun and socialise...
