Overall GenCon was enormous; I got on line for Will Call at 10:30 on Thursday morning and it took 1:40 to get my badge and tickets.  The mini events were held on the floor of Lucas Oil Stadium (the Colts' stadium), which was a good 15 min walk away from the rest of the events.  However, the areas reserved for RPGs in the adjoining hotels were reasonable intimate and accessible.  The dealer room was insanely huge, but pretty much everyone in the industry was there.

Going through Haalkitaine now. It's been 20 years  :o  so I am having to re-familiarize myself with a lot of it. The new edition will have sewers maps, catacombs and adventures! (The first edition had none of those; and people were very disappointed that there were no sewer maps)

That’s great Terry! The Catacombs predating the dawn of the Second Era are of particular interest for me. I hope there will be some more information on the Wôrim, Taranians and potentially even the Viziayri and Kænu referenced in the original Haalkitaine book. I really liked how the Jinteni culture was more fleshed out in the Emer III and hoping we can get to learn a little more on these other Interregnum cultures through this update.

The Worim and Jinteni were centered more in Emer, and there will be much more about them in Emer IV (after all the City of the Dead is early Jinteni construction). Not much in Haalkitaine I'm afraid—though some of the deep catacombs are indeed of Worim and Jinteni construction. There will be layouts!

Jaiman is inching towards completion. Awaiting one last piece of art (nudge)!

Meanwhile I am racing along on the Haalkitaine new edition. lots and lots of new material, like Eidolon.

Meanwhile, check out these gorgeous libraries! Maybe Nomikos or the Haalkitaine library resemble these. https://www.thisiscolossal.com/2018/08/the-worlds-most-beautiful-libraries/

Also, the library of chained books Very cool! (I fixed the link) www.bbc.com/culture/story/20180706-the-ancient-library-where-the-books-are-under-lock-and-key

For those of you who are interested, I finally did a minor update to my creaky old Shadow World web site at eidolonstudio.com. It needs a major cleanup and update, which I may get to in coming weeks... months....

Very cool so far.  I'll be floating around it on my lunch break shortly.

Very cool. Those are the closest things to churches/temples to me.

Glad to hear about all this stuff getting done, and nice to see eidolonstudios looking good.

Recently I met with a bunch of people interested in gaming - several brand new to the scene - and described RM to them. Quite a few of them expressed interest, so I might actually be able to get an RM game going here soon. *Crossing fingers*

Jaiman is out!

Thanks for posting that.

When you buy the thank you message reads "Many thanks for purchasing Shadow World: Emer 3"

Might want to update that.  ;D

Is it just in .pdf format for now? I was hoping to get a hard copy at some point.

Always pdf first before the print master is committed.

would you be able to include a reduced (both dpi and bw) version in the download. ?

for example i apply the following to create a bw version for self printing:
Code: [Select]
gs \
    -sDEVICE=pdfwrite \
    -dFastWebView \
-dNOPAUSE \
-sProcessColorModel=DeviceGray \
-sColorConversionStrategy=Gray \
-dDownsampleGrayImages=true\
        -dGrayImageResolution=72\
        -dColorImageResolution=72\
-dGrayImageFilter=/FlateEncode\
-dBATCH \
-sOutputFile=$1-fast.pdf \
-f $1

LOL ... the picture "Dúranaki and Talath Thavan Guards" on page 13 isnt to size, aint it?

Talath are the 6ft+ Northmen style, whereas Duranaki Females are rarely 6ft - 4in (description given on the left column)

bugs found so far:
- the NPC tables lack bold for distinguishing information here and there
- the RM2/RMC NPC tables mostly lack Profession information
- pg 168 Lorgalis -> Amulet of Darkness -> should be a x8 PP instead of the given x2

Thanks. So just so I am sure: if I buy the .pdf now, will I still have to buy the hardcopy entirely separately (i.e. no discount)? I would eventually like to have both a pdf and a hard copy, so I am thinking I should wait until the hard copy comes out?
