Zombie d100 game
« on: September 23, 2014, 11:23:39 AM »
My apologies if this is not suppossed to show up here, I haven't posted in a looooong while and I do hope I'm in the correct fórum.

Ok, here goes, my RM2 party is just 3/4 months shy of completing our lastest campaign, started around 2009 or so. It's been fun, oh what fun, but the story archs are finally closing and anyhow my PCs are close to unmanageable for me since I'm used to way lower characters at almost level 30 by now. Some time in the past I completed a RM2 "companion" which in the end I've been using with much success but which for various reasons, RMU being the prime, never really got shared with anyone.

Which bring me to the question. I want to try a nice D100 zombie apocalpyse game, just for laughs, to tide us, my friends and me, until RMU is 100% complete and I have gone and finished my own two companions for it which are 80% or so complete pending a final RMU release to make sure I'm on ball. Ideally, I'd like said d100 zombie game to be present or near future max. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I don't want GURPS and my alternative is to write some combat rules from scratch which shouldn't take thaaaaaaaat long.

And since we're at it, Can anyone recommend good plastice painted miniatures to go with it? Thanks for any and all answers.

Well. I've started to plow along making my own system. If anyone's interested at all in it, feel free to drop me a message so I can update you on the process.

Still interested in the miniatures suggestion though.

There is a tabletop game called zombies that comes with a large number of plastic figures of Zombies. We often play it as a bit of a warm up while we wait for all the players to arrive for a session. The scale should be about right-ish.

According to Amazon it comes with 100 zombies http://www.amazon.com/Twilight-Creations-2010TLC-Zombies-Edition/dp/B000HX1NBA

Thanks for the heads ups. I'm going to end up getting a few miniatures through Amazon. Will probably do it around Christmas when I've completed the first playable draft of my WIP game.

Again, thanks.

1) the original system powering "Chill" rpg called Pacesetter is alive and well under Goblinoid Games banner. Check out RotWorld -  The system is fast and a real gem from the past (somewhat lost in the World of Darkness hubaloo of the 90's).

2) I just picked up a bunch of Outbreak Undead stuff - I haven't had the chance to read through all of it yet, but it has a  lot of detail and supplements and looks fun.

3) You can use BRP or Call of Cthulu - Many supplements available, and I'm sure someone made a zombie supplement or advice somewhere on the InterTubes. :-)
