This is one memorable moment in a campaign I ran many years ago. The party was exploring a ruined manor house in an isolated area of the country they were in. Turned out it was the old residence of a magic-using tinkerer. Everything was going grand til they got into this one very spacious room overgrown with vegetation. It was once the arboretum of said previous owner.
As the party was walking through they were attacked by a metallic creature with very sharp tiny claws and was very fast. The main fighter of the group was a Great Man with a boatload of hit points due to stats items etc but one major flaw (Hemophilia). Well the fight started and much to the parties surprise the creature had multiple attacks per round. Well try as he might the fighter couldn't parry any of the blows the thing gave him and with its claw attacks vs. his defensive bonus resulted in MANY tiny crits. With the fighter having Hemophilia (2X Bleeding) the damage was incredible. he was bleeding from multiple wounds at like 24 hits a round. Add to that the mage in the party casting a type of air vortex spell that was misplaced onto the warrior. Needless to say the Warrior was a rotating blood Sprinkler for the short time he remained in the fight.
The Party eventually won the day even with all the slipping and sliding on the blood soaked tile floor and saved the Great Man from death. From that day on that characters Nickname was Sprinkler.
